Hobbies!

When I'm all alone I really start to get fidgety and I get bored really easily. If I have no one to hang out with I feel like it is the end of the world! My mom finally told me that I need to get a hobby. So I took her advice and maybe took it too far because I started finding a lot of different things that I really enjoyed doing and best of all they were all things that I could do alone! I have now 4 things that I am really interested in and I do one of them at least on a daily basis. They are ballet, photography, drawing, and film making. These are all really different areas I know but I enjoy each one so why not try to be a master at more than one trade! It didn't take me long to figure out what I was going to make my hobby.

A good way to start a hobby is by looking at what you are most interested in and finding something that you can do with that interest. I knew that when I was out with my friends I always had a camera in my bag and I loved taking pictures of us so that was an easy one, I just started taking pictures of nature and the other things around my house. For ballet it was the same thing, I loved reading and watching movies about ballet so I figured why not try it myself? And I am not dancing 2 times a week and I love it.

Some other good ideas are, if you like fashion why not learn how to do some DIY I have a book to recommend if that is something you are interested in it's called "P.s. I Made This" by Erica Domesek. Or try painting, that is what my mom has discovered she loves to do and when she has some time on her hands thats what she is doing. You can buy a painting starter kit at a lot of DIY stores like Michael's and even Walmart. Or if the individual creative hobbies aren't your thing and you want something more intense, why not try a sport that you can do on your own like skateboarding?!

What are your favourite hobbies?
