Pass Time Favorites: PIXIE the Documentary

I was trying to think about things I wanted to write blog posts on and I came up with the idea about writing about things for everyone to get to know me a little more. I wanted to write about things that I love doing and my pass time favorites - what I do on my spare time. This is one of the first on my new series of "Pass Time Favorites"

This is something I made this weekend and it is a passion close to me. I love making mini movies and seeing what I am capable of coming up with. I decided to make a trailer of a "documentary" I wanted to make about my dog. This is what I came up with and from the comments I have received on Facebook, people actually want me to create the documentary! I will be writing more about movies and shorts that I am making as this is something I am interested in and wanted to share it with everyone. 

I used to have a YouTube account where I posted basically my blog posts but in video format. I think now what I am going to do is start posting other videos and mini movies that I create and the continuation to this "documentary".

I wanted to start a tag about making videos, also just to let everyone know more about why and what I like doing when it comes to making videos.

What made you start a YouTube channel?

I think I decided to start a YouTube channel when I realized how much I enjoyed making videos and that I wanted others to see my work. I saw that there were others who were doing similar things to me and I wanted to try it out and get my videos out there.

What kinds of videos do you make or enjoy making?

Like I mentioned before, I used to make beauty and fashion related videos that went hand in hand with my blog posts, but then I started making mini movies of ideas that would come to me so I and currently in the process of changing my channel around to make it more focused on that. I might still have the odd fashion/beauty video though!

If you could collaborate with 2 people from YouTube who would it be?

I think if I got the opportunity to collaborate with anyone, it would have to be Smosh. I think that they have a very unique sense of humour that I can relate to and I like how they too make mini movies.

What editing software do you use?

Depends what I plan on doing editing-wise but I use both Final Cut and iMovie.

What camera do you use?

Again, depending what I am going to be doing, I either use my iPhone 5C or my Nikon D3100 camera.

What do you love about YouTube the most?

What I love most is the fact that it gives everyone with a video idea the chance to be a producer and it gives those people the chance to be seen and watched by people all over the world. It makes your dreams a little easier to achieve when there is something like this to help you get exposure.

So that is a little about one of my pass times and something I truly enjoy doing on my time off. I will be doing another "pass time favorite" eventually about something else that I love doing.
