June Favorites

I hope everyone had a nice Canada Day (or will have a good 4th of July if you are from the US) I haven't posted a monthly favorite post for a while because I hasn't finished using a lot of the products from the previous one and everything was relatively the same. However recently throughout June I had restocked on new things and have a different favorite list for you guys. Let's get started.

Beauty

Maybelline FIT me Shine Free Foundation Stick

I was walking through Walmart and stumbled upon this product and it looked interesting so I decided to buy it. I love this foundation stick! I feel like it isn't as greasy or heavy as even the other Maybelline foundation I have been using. It's shine control as well and although I don't think it makes that much of a difference with the shine, I still like the feel of it on my face overall.

Cover Girl Flamed Out Mascara

I saw this mascara being reviewed on YouTube and I liked what it did for their lashes so I bought it and tried it out and I have to say it's my favorite mascara so far. It gives my lashes a nice winged out looks without looking too heavy and excessive. I get it in water resistant and I like the formula for it.

John Freida Color Toning Conditioner

Since I have ombre hair and my natural hair color is very dark, I needed a conditioner that would keep my blond a nice looking color and prevent it from going brassy. I found this one at Walmart and decided to try it out. After the first time I used it I could already see that the blond was brighter and a nicer shade. I think this is a good economical choice for a toning conditioner without having to buy the salon brands and it still does a good job.

Garnier Pure Active Exfo Brush Face Wash

I ran out of my regular face wash routine and I was too lazy to go get it since the location where it's sold is not that close to where I live. As a last resort in desperation I was in the drug store and I was looking over all the options and I have seen this mentioned a few times before and figured it looked intriguing and I decided to go for it. I was pleasantly surprised when it left my skin feeling tight and dry (I have oily skin so this was a treat) it continued to give me a smooth feeling afterwards. The smell was also very pleasant as it smelt like cucumber or mint.

IMpress Stick-on Nails

As the name describes them, I was impressed with these! I wanted nice nails but wasn't in the mood for doing them myself or spending the time and money to get them done professionally. I saw these and decided to try them out. I must say they surpassed my expectations, I thought they would fall off after a day and I wouldn't be able to do anything with them on because I would have to be careful not to break them off. But not at all, they were sturdy and lasted a week and a half before I decided to peel them off myself. I'm sure they would have lasted over 2 weeks if I let them be. I will definitely buy them again in different colors because they aren't too expensive and last.

Fashion

Jean Vests

Since the weather is getting nicer, I have found that wearing a full jean jacket is getting to be too warm. So I started wearing jean jacket vests and I am in love. They can pair well with almost any outfit and give the look a nice edge.
Movies/Books

Superman - Man of Steel

I know this movie has had mixed reviews from different people I have asked but personally I really liked this movie. I thought it was a good overall view of the classic story and it was well done. I do think that there were areas that could have included a little more development but I still think it was a great summer movie to see that was exciting and interesting the whole way through.

Postcard Killers

If you are into suspense thrillers like I am then you will love this book. It kept you guessing till the very end and you never wanted to put it down because each ending of the chapters left you wanting more. I think for the summer this is a good read that will take you across Europe in a suspenseful murder mystery.

Music

Kings of Leon - come Around Sundown

I love their sounds and it seems every summer i become obsessed with a different album of theirs. This year it happens to be Come Around Sundown. My two favorite songs are The Immortals and Pickup Truck.

Games

Luigi's Mansion

I had been wanting this game since it first came out but it was so popular it took me a little while before I actually got it. I really love this game I think it's fun and not too difficult but since it's Luigi it just makes it so much better! He has the cutest expressions in the game and the other characters are just as cute. Definitely check it out.

Activities

Drawing

Lately I have been drawing a lot usually during the summertime I like to sit outside and draw. Recently I found this book that is kind of cleaver and gives you ideas of things to draw just for fun. I think it's a good idea for anyone who can't think of things to draw and just wants to practice.

Food

Alo Drinks

I tried these drinks for the first time this month and I am obsessed with them. They have chunks of aloe and the flavors are very refreshing. They look a little weird at first but they are delicious and a definite must try.
