1. High Waisted Jean Short
I think this has become unbelievably popular recently and not just this summer. But these retro flash back styled pants are probably one of the most popular items for most girls this summer. I myself have a couple pairs and I have to agree they are definitely a nice change from the super low cut styles we used to all wear! I have made a couple pairs DIY and I also have purchased some as well. I think this is definitely a must have for any summer wardrobe.
2. Crop Tops
This trend goes hand in hand with the high waisted jean shorts trend. It looks really cute when you pair a crop top with high waisted jean shorts to be a little more subtle with the crop top and not having so much skin showing if you are a little more shy or conservative. I think these tops are a very staple summer piece to have in your wardrobe this year. If you don't want to buy a bunch of new shirts, you can DIY them as well but cutting the length of some old tops you don't wear anymore.
3. Ombre Hair/Tip Dye
More and more lately the ombre/tip dye hair style is catching on and going strong. I am a follower of this trend as well and I really think that its a nice change for the summer to add something different without going completely drastic. I have the ombre hair as you can see in some of my pictures but since it's a blond color I also occasionally use Kool-Aid to dye it a color just for some change in the look over the weekends. It's a fun thing you can do that is not permanent just to switch up your look without doing anything drastic. Try it!
4. Maxi dresses/skirts
This trend is another thing that has been pretty popular for more than just this season. It's another trend that I happen to like very much. I think that it is a perfect piece to add to your wardrobe that can be dressed up for nicer occasions but can also be worn pretty casual for everyday. I like to have a black maxi skirt and a patterned maxi dress as my staples for this trend.
5. Jean Vests
I am a huge jean jacket fan and in the colder months that is almost always what I am wearing (or a leather jacket) so in the summer when it is way too warm to be piling on a jean jacket, the next best thing to do would be to wear a jean vests! I pair mine with almost everything, its a perfect piece to add to an outfit just in case you get cold or just want that extra layer. I think they are very diverse and will match almost everything you want to wear it with.
6. Super Hero Clothing
With the frequent Super Hero movies that keep coming out, the demand for super hero merchandise has become quite high. I, myself am a huge super hero buff and have quite the collection when it comes to super hero merchandise. So being able to wear tee shirts with my favorite super hero's is a definite must in my summer (and all year round) wardrobe.
