Maybelline Expert Wear Nutmeg and Tastefully Taupe - I have been trying to wear eyeshadows lately but in a way that looks smokey and effortless. I didn't want to have to layer on many colors in the morning because I am usually in a rush. So I was looking around at Walmart one day and I came across these two colors that I thought could be used together nciely to make a simply smokey eye.
NYC Matte Me Crazy Mattifying Top Coat - I stumbled across this recently and thought I would give it a try and I think it is a really cool thing to have if you want to change up your regular nail polish routine and make them look different by mattifying them.
NYC Appleicious Glossy Lip Balm - I was looking for an everyday lip balm that I could wear but also had a good tint to it to give my lips some color and this was staring right at me. I picked it up and I absolutely love it. Not only is it extremely moisturizing but it gives me the perfect amount of color to my lips.
Batiste Dry Shampoo - If you read back into my past posts I mention dry shampoo quite a bit. Unfortunately I have very oily hair and sometimes I just don't feel like always washing my hair because I want it to look nice. I have tested out so many dry shampoos but I had seen this brand had been highly talked about, so I decided to try it out for myself and I totally understand why it is talked about! It is the best dry shampoo I have tried to date and the smell isn't too much either.
Pro Active Acne Wash - I know this is something that I have heard good and bad things about but I wasn't happy with my face wash and the lack of results from it so I decided to give in and try out Pro Active. For me personally I have to say that it works fantastically and I can definitely see it working, hopefully it will continue because I am quite pleased with the results so far.
Freeman Feel Beautiful Cucumber Peel Off Mask - I like to have weekly at home spa days where I fix my nails and pamper myself and this was one thing I added to my spa essentials. It smells very lightly and it doesn't dry up in the bottle. I really like it, and it makes my face so soft and smooth. Add it to your at home spa kit!
Fashion
Hats - Now that the weather is turing colder, I love wearing hats and toques. I recently went toque crazy and bought a few that I could mix and match with almost any outfit.
Two-toned leather moto jackets - I was at the mall with my grandmother and I was taking her around to find a skirt for an event she was going to and I saw out of the corner of my eye this beautiful burgundy red and black leather jacket and I seriously tried to talk myself out of going to see it because I have so many jackets but I thought it was such a must have for a fashion item because it's different and adds just a little more to an outfit. I got mine from Vera Mode which can be purchased at The Bay and I absolutely love it!
Books
I haven't had too much time to read but in my previous August favourites youtube video I mentioned I was reading The Mortal Instruments City of Bones and I thought it was a really good read and now I am currently continuing with the series and on to the second book City of Ashes. I'm not finished yet but it is so far very good and I think if you saw and liked the movie but haven't read the books then you should.
Music
Chet Faker - This artist has the most chill sound to it and I love listening to this now that its getting darker sooner and I just want to relax and feel good. He is someone you should definitely check out!
Extras
Ikea Vanilla Candles - Now that it gets dark sooner I like to put on a bunch of candles in my room to make it feel cozy and warm. The Ikea candles are big and they last a long time too.
Halloween Twinkle Lights - I have a canopy over my bed and I like to put lights up there that coincide with the season, since halloween is coming soon I have these cool purple lights that give off a nice purple pink light and its nice to have when laying in bed.
This was a rather short monthly favourite post but a lot of the other things I have favoured this month I have already mentioned them in previous posts.
